Lyric “Yhung” Chanel, of Houston, died from brain cancer and anaplastic ependymoma, KTRK reported.

Chanel’s fight against the disease was documented on Instagram and got the attention of Beyoncé, rapper Cardi B and Houston rapper Trae Tha Truth, who she called “her uncle,” the television station reported. Chanel’s Instagram account had more than 600,000 followers, Billboard reported.

Lyric and her family grew her social media presence by documenting the good and bad experiences as she fought her cancer, KTRK reported. She also shared her love for fashion and style, according to KTRK.

Beyoncé, who sent Chanel flowers in September 2020, created a musical tribute after the girl died, Rolling Stone reported.

The video included clips from Chanel’s Instagram account, with Beyoncé accompanying the footage with a voice-only medley of “Brown Skin Girl,” “Halo” and “Love on Top,” the magazine reported. On “Love on Top,” Beyoncé changed the “baby” to ”Lyric it’s you/You’re the one I love/And you’re the one I need/You’re the only thing I see/Come on Lyric it’s you.”

The singer ended the tribute, saying, “I love you with all my heart,” Rolling Stone reported.
