Gladys Knight’s Chicken and Waffles has been getting a lot of attention lately, but not for the food, more for the drama between Gladys and her son. Now to make matters even worse, someone robbed Gladys Knight's Chicken and Waffles for $9000.00 on October 10th but it seems wary because no locks were broken and the security cameras were off: Not only is the restaurant investigating a robbery case, but a sexual harassment case as well. One of the female staff members claimed that she has been sexually harassed by managers at the restaurant after questioning why they'd cut her hours. A Source from iliveoldschoolmusic.com states that “A copy of the Sept. 2 complaint to the federal Equal Opportunity Employment Commission provided by Lavonda Moore, 28 said that managers retaliated against her when she complained about the alleged harassment by lowering her hours, which decreased her pay. Moore said she was fired 20 days later. “I told numerous managers and they never did anything about it,” Moore said. If this assault claim is true, this is incredibly sad and someone needs to be held responsible.”
Keep in mind that this is all happening right after Gladys Knights’ son was released from jail for tax fraud, which employees say is largely due to his alleged excessive spending habits on weed, strippers, and lavish vacations. Also the restaurant just received a ‘U’ during a recent health inspection.
