FAYETTE COUNTY, Ga. — You heard this right -- a herd of buffalo belonging to Rick Ross was found casually roaming in a Georgia neighborhood near the rapper’s home.

The animals were seen walking through the Northridge community in Fayette County on March 13, WSB-TV reported.

The rapper posted a video on his Instagram account on his more than 350-acre property Tuesday, with his horse and buffalo in the background.

“While it is legal to own livestock (cattle, sheep, horses, goats, etc.), in Fayette County, the owner is responsible for properly restraining the animals,” the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a Facebook post on Monday.

At least one Fayette County resident was not amused when her home became a place where buffalo roamed.

“I have an 8-year-old and I have a 10-year-old,” Antoinette Barnes told WSB. “My children are afraid to go outside.”

The buffalo left imprints on Barnes’ lawn, several feet from where her children play, she told the television station.

Barnes said she called the sheriff’s office and attempted to speak with Ross but could only talk to one of the rapper’s staff members.

“I said, ‘Hey, I would appreciate if you keep your buffalo and your bull off of my property,’” Barnes told WSB.

The sheriff’s office said that the public should use caution if they ever encounter a buffalo.

“Although they are mostly docile, they can be unpredictable and possibly become aggressive,” the sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook.

Ross said he was grateful that his animals were returned safely.

“Always return stray animals. Always keep a collar on an animal. Mine don’t have a collar, so when you see a buffalo, give it a carrot. Give it a apple. They so kind, they so peaceful,” Ross said, according to WSB. “Thank you everybody for making sure all my animals got back into the Promised Land.”
