People magazine reported that Ronnie Turner’s wife, French singer Afida Turner, confirmed his death on Instagram.

Ronnie and Afida Turner married in 2007. In the Instagram post she referred to the death of Ronnie Turner’s brother, Craig, who died by suicide in 2018, as well as his father Ike who died in 2007 and his aunt, Alline Bullock who died in 2010, People magazine reported.

TMZ was the first to report on Ronnie Turner’s death, saying that someone had called 911 to report a person having difficulty breathing and eventually stopped. Bystanders tried CPR but Ronnie Turner was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

TMZ said that while the cause of death wasn’t clear, Ronnie Turner had several health issues including cancer.

Ronnie Turner followed in his parents’ footsteps, playing in the band Manufactured Funk and was also an actor, appearing in Tina Turner’s biopic “What’s Love Got to Do with It,” People magazine reported.
