Forever First Lady Michelle Obama has announced a $2.5 million dollar pledge from her “Girls Opportunity Alliance” to fund projects around the world that focus on helping adolescent girls stay in school, fight practices like child marriage, provide counseling for survivors of abuse, and more.

She made the announcement on October 11th to celebrate International Day of the Girl!
