Recall alert: Chicken and cheese taquitos sold at Aldi recalled

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced the recall of 24,870 pounds of frozen taquitos sold at Aldi stores nationwide.

The Casa Mamita Chicken & Cheese Taquitos could be contaminated with metal, the Food Safety and Inspection Service said.

The 20-oz. boxes have best-by dates of 7/03/25 and 9/25/25 on the bottom panel. they have the establishment number EST. P-40327.

The recall stems from consumer complaints. One consumer told Bestway Sandwiches Inc. about finding a piece of metal in a taquito. Another consumer said they had a dental injury after eating them, the FSIS said in a news release.

If you have the recalled taquitos, you should either throw them away or return them.
